First Shots of Dublin

We landed at about 11:15, but did not get picked up until about 12:30, were in Dublin by about 1:00, slept a few hours and were able to hit the streets around our central Dublin hotel by 6:00. So these are random images up and down O'Connell street from the Parnell monument to the Liffey River.
Gotta do a selfie in an Irish pub, Murrays

Looking down O'Connell street, I think

The Parnell Monument, note the tablet to the right, from Munster which is where Sharon's ancestors come from

The General Post Office, site of the Easter uprising which let Ireland toward independence

Scenes along the Liffey

The GPO, again. I think Tuesday will be there and Killmainham Gaol which we were not able to see in 2009 because of a bomb scare.

Sharon with one of her literary peeps, James Joyce.
