The Adventure Begins
As I write this, our trip to Bath with one other faculty couple and twenty-nine students, will begin at the San Francisco Airport in less than 36 hours.
The past few days, have been a flurry of last minute preparation, as Sharon gets ready to telecommute from the UK for five months and we get the house in order and pack our stuff.
Sharon working as she will for the next several months, on computer and phone.
What do you pack to last five months? Sorting it all out
Rosa the chenille pig (think Amalie), will be our traveling companion
More important than mere clothing, what pens to bring? This represents the first cut.
By the end of the day today, we hope to finish packing and be ready to leave the house at noon or so on Friday.

To wish good luck before a long journey we usually say here in Poland "szerokiej drogi!", which means "have a wide way".
