Cars, Redwoods, and Oregon Coast

From Napa and the Judy Collins concert we headed out on Saturday through the Redwoods to Benbow Inn. There for the night, where I left a camera battery and charger, and on the Oregon Coast. Sunday night was in Bandon and Monday, the 4th up the Oregon Coast to Garibaldi.

Cars seem to be a leitmotif. I guess it's the holiday and everyone has their best guy and girl and their best car. This 1959 Corvette was in Napa and is as clean and perfect as my old one in the 1970s was (even then) raggedy.

Saw this early 1970s Porsche 911 in Willits, in the Redwoods. On the road we saw several other nice vehicles as well

The Benbow Inn. We've been coming here since the 1970s. Now undergoing renovation including an elevator, presumably to make things easier on us old folks.

If you have never stood in a Redwood grove in the morning, even with other people around, you have missed one of life's finest and most spiritual experiences. That's all I'll say.

The colors here are not manipulated

One can only imagine . . . this was not here a few years ago when we last stopped.

And the coast has its own grandeur
