San Antonio: Riverdance

-->
We started Tuesday in an absolute pissing-down rainstorm. Had it been the thunderstorm that came in Monday night, we might have made for the San Antonio Museum of Art, but faced only with mere rain we were up for the Riverwalk.

Sharon had been here before on business and had told me about the Riverwalk, but I found it charming beyond her descriptions. But it does not seem to photograph well or I did not photograph it well. Still it was a great way to spend a couple of hours, including a ramble through the La Villita shopping and art market.

I had much better luck photographing the Spanish Governor’s Palace, a mostly authentic Spanish revival building based on an old adobe that was reconstructed in the 1930s, attempting to reimagine life in mid-18th century Tejas. It was hokey but fun.
